Public Meeting

There will be an information meeting describing our organization, it goals and its future on Wed. April 4 at 7pm. This meeting will be held at Owens Community College’s Arrowhead Learning Center located at 1724 Indian Wood Circle in Maumee (Arrowhead Park) – Room 136. If you cannot make this date we will be scheduling additional meetings in the future.

Calling all Leaders and Supporters

We have gotten to the stage where we need capital to move ahead. Now you may be thinking – ah he needs money. While this is true, the demands of other capital are equally, if not more important.

We need leadership capital. Most important right now is the need for leadership capital in the form of additional board members. The IRS in reviewing our 501(c)(3) application is calling on more and diversified leadership on the board. This means expanding from our founding member and soon if we are to achieve the nonprofit status. So we need 3-5 new board members and with our mission to support disadvantaged, minority, women, retired military segments while attacking poverty levels, we hope for a diverse group.

We need human and support capital. If you can supply expertise in any area, your help is welcome. We also need in kind contributions such as office space, shared office infrastructure and professional assistance.

We need idea capital. Dreams can only come true if they are not held in secret. We will be working on a new think/idea tank for bringing out the best in Toledoans for what they see in making us strong and prosperous. In the meantime, send us your ideas and dreams to this website – no complaints, that’s for someone else.

We need financial capital. The founding members, notably myself and my family, have funded this entire start up and like any new venture we are running low on cash flow. Right now we need $27k for the next 45 days and depending on when the IRS approves our non-profit status we may need and additional $45K. This covers start up costs, debt service, market analysis, professional fees and some compensation.

We are so close Toledo – we need you now in all these areas. If you can help send an email or call me directly.

Updating Financial Infrastructure

We are currently updating the financial infrastructure analysis. If you have comments, additions or corrections please send them in soon. We will be adding a more detailed education section in the updated version.

UPDATE: The Libbey Center

It is with great sadness and dismay that Toledo Public Schools has opted not consider this plan and instead tear down this historic building. The business and arts communities as well as all of Toledo have suffered a great loss. We will be looking to other sites to establish our incubator and will use the Libbey Center Business plan as a model.
